I think I may be just starting 4 weeks of pregnancy I had sex a couple days before my ov, on my ov and a bunch of times after my ov and my doctor told me that I have a good chance of being pregnant because I just got off of birth control but my doctor said I shouldn't take a test until 5 or 6 weeks of pregnancy well my grandma thinks i'm lying so she said I have to go to the doctor tomarrow to take a test and if its negitive I can't see my boyfriend anymore and at barely the 4th week it should come up negitive...I told my grandma that and she said its just an excuse, so is there a chance at all that the test I take tomarrow will come up positive if I am pregnant? What about if I take a blood test?

Honey, you are a nut case! You are only sixteen years old, and getting pregnant won't keep that guy who has cheated on you!!! Close your legs and get on some birth control! You could get all kinds of diseases from this guy who sleeps around, and you are sleeping with him unprotected?!! This was no accident, and I truly hope God does not allow you to have a child. That boy is not going to stick around! You are extremely immature! (For those who think this is harsh, click on her name and see her other posts! She is a sixteen year old trying to get pregnant!!!)

The test will very likely give a true reading even at this early date. If you are pregnant it will more than likely reflect that case by giving a positive reading. Ask your Dr at the time of the test. Few false positive tests are ever reported but false negative test results are frequent if the test is administered too soon; that's the reason testing is usually put off until six weeks. You may, however, have missed your period because you are irregular following your recent d/c of oral birth control pills... that is a quite commonly reported scenario.

Good luck.

You could definetley come up positive for a test at 4 weeks. Mine was positive at around 4 weeks as well.

I do, however, think that it was silly to have told your grandmother. That's a lot of stress to be putting on your family, knowing their baby might be having a baby. It's unwise to do that unless you are sure you are pregnant. Just because you had sex while you were ovulating does not mean you are pregnant. It took me 4 months (at 19 years old) of having sex unprotected almost every day to get pregnant, and it takes some people years.

With my first son, I felt him for positive at about 17 weeks. you could nicely be feeling it, you in basic terms would no longer recognize that it truly is a kick or flow. Do you sense bubbles or some thing like gently popping corn on your abdomen? quite tiny flutters? i don't think of i in my view felt a real kick until eventually close to to 6 months. do not bypass out of your techniques. If it is your first being pregnant, you in no way recognize what you sense! Many, many first time moms don't sense circulation until eventually way later. i imagine I purely felt circulation at 17 weeks because i became at artwork at an uneventful table all day and in basic terms sat and waited for that tiny flutter! if you're busy or the kicking is gentle or if you're a touch overweight I heard you sense circulation a lot a lot less. you'd be positive!!!! that's demanding to inform you now to not agonize, even though it would really help you to attraction to close that i imagine that's established now to not sense some thing yet. also, get used to the stressful!!! It starts off in being pregnant and would not provide up-EVER! in basic terms look in any respect my paranoid questions about my childrens on right here!

There is a chance that a home pregnancy test will show a false negative if you are pregnant. However, they are very sensitive these days and hormone levels rise very quickly. A blood test would be more definative.

There is a very big chance that it will read positive. With today's medical technology, a woman can now learn if she is pregnant the day after she misses her first period. Being four weeks, then you have obviously have missed. Is this "pregnancy" something you want? I wish you the best of luck no matter the outcome.

The test increases in reliability after 5-6 weeks, related to the increase in hormones. For early tests, blood work will be more reliable, but it is still likely that you will get a false negative this early.
While you wait for your answer, I hope that you are eating well-balanced meals and taking a good multivitamin. Make sure that you are getting enough folic acid, iron and calcium. Please do not drink, smoke, or take drugs. Even over-the-counter medications are not safe...you shouldn't be taking anything at all unless your doctor recommends it. Please get plenty of rest, and take good care of yourself.
Best of luck and good health either way.... :-)

IF YOU TAKE THE TEST AT THE DR IT SHOULD COME BACK POSITVE IF YOU ARE...BUT YOU SAID, YOU JUST GOT OF BIRTH CONTROL, SO YOU COULD JUST BE LATE BCUZ BEING ON THE PILL SCREWS UP YOUR CYCLE FOR 2-3 MONTHS AFTER STOPPING IT...SO MAYBE IT IS JUST LATE....ALSO NEVER TELL ANYONE YOU ARE PREGNANT UNTIL YOU KNOW FOR SURE....
