I'm just wondering if there is any free software out there for the latest upgrades?

I'm just assuming you mean Windows ME to Windows XP.

Windows 2000 is another OS by itself.

Anyway, there no way to upgrade it for free legally. Unless you manage to convince someone to give you a free license. Maybe you can write in to MS and ask for a free license?

Considering there is no such thing as me2000 or xp2000 I dont think so! Windows 2000 is a separate operating system! If you want to know can you upgrade from windows me to xp, yes!

the short answer: NO, the long answer: you have to buy an upgrade version. Go to staples and buy Windows XP upgrade version. It costs a lot less than the full version.
