Will this question ever end? Have some respect and compassion for his family.Viewing another human beings death on video isn't entertainment.Would you want your childs,parents or spouses death shown all over the internet?He does have parents,a wife and children.Think about them.

the bottom line in this argument lies with the family...if they feel it is right to see the death of steve doing what he loved doing then that would be the case....only they will decide and i hope if they do they charge an arm and a leg for the benefit of the causes steve espoused........i will never forget the image of steve irwin talking to the camera while sharks were in a feeding frenzy all around him while he stood in the water...the guy was a crazy kook but he was fascinating, funny and very entertaining...i kind of felt one day his luck would run out the way he took risks dealing with wildlife but i would never have guessed it would take a stingray to be the culprit....my condolences to his friends and family....he was one of a kind and his legacy will continue as his shows run on animal planet

Fox news reported today that when the only tape of the incident is released from the coronors office and sheriffs office it will be destroyed. Good thing too. I hate it when people decide that something like this needs to be publicized. It is a tragedy and should remain a private thing between Irwins family.

If your user name is true, how would you like it if we .( the whole world) got to see your twins die?.. How would you like them getting a MILLION hits on youtube? and your powerless 2 stop that..
FYI! the tape of his death is not being released to the public, nor should it be.. it never was meant to be shown, No one shoul feel like they have the right to see it,
It is being destroyed according to the Irwins manager Joe.

It should never be seen. His family would never get over seeing that horror. Only a sick person would want to view it. Unfortunately, just as there were pictures of Diana as she was dying, autopsy photos of JFK and Elvis, this video will surface. It will be copied and sold to the highest bidders long before it goes back to Irwin's family to be destroyed. Our society likes seeing car wrecks, plane crashes, and buildings falling. Why shouldn't this unhealthy viewing extend to the deaths of famous people ?

you won't find any footage according to the live report from his father saying that the police have the video tape and after the investigation is complete it will be returned to the family and they said it will be destroyed. i can't say i blame them, if it was my child, i wouldn't want the world to see her death. i don't believe i'd even want to see it.

John Staition, the producer, owner and Steve's best mate said on Australian television "that tape will never see the light of day"...
and it never should!
how would you feel if that was your husband, your dad, your son or your best mate and his death was broadcast around the world???
in Australia we are sick of people from overseas wanting to see this tape...do you have any consideration for the family?
remember Steve as he was in the documentaries that we have available to us...

You can't. The only known copy is in the hands of the authorities, and the owner of the tape said on Larry King once they were through with it, he was going to destroy it.
