They'll compete like they always do.They still got an awsome captain, joe sakic, and they got liles, theodore will be better this year. im not sayin they'll win the cup but they'll contend. those other two guys who answered dont know crap about hockey, by sayin they wont make it or unlikely make it, probably dead wing fans

Sadly the Avs will fight for the last playoff spot, simply becuase they havent replaced key players Like Blake, Leopold is has the potentiel to be a great defenseman but in Blakes Fottsteps, not likely. Forsberg was replaced byTurgeon?? I dont get that? Next.... Sakic is one of my favorite players, especially ona line with Iggy on team Canada, but Joe cant do it all, Theodore will have an Ok year, will get injured mid season and end any playoff hopes for the Avs. A Sad day when the Avs dont make it, a Calgary Av's playoff series would be awesome to watch though

They'll be fine under Burnaby Joe's leadership. I think everyone will be surprised with Theo's performance this year! He's had some time to settle down and work on some things and in a new environment and under new guidance I think we are going to start to see what he is capable of!

I think there is no real great team this year..it can be anyones year.... well amost anyone, if a team gets hot in the playoffs they can win, I believe my favorite team is one of the worst, the Islanders and probably the only team that has no chance of winning

I think the Pens make the playoff this year, which would be great for their fans.
