Yes you can very much do so.
If the father of the child wanted the child and you were fit then the mother had no right to really give up the child for adoption and you can have charges braught up on her and you should also try talking to the people whom worked at the places she drank at and get them to talk about how she drank while pregnant because yes drinking while pregnant is against the law and considered child endangerment and she can have charges braught up on that.
Make sure you do not do anything that concerns tribal people such as the morons of tribal court, let me tell you hon they are complete morons and half of them do not even have the proper education to be doing it.
The very first step you need to take is prove the child is yours with a paternity test then get an attorney and start building a case to get the child back..Seeing as you are the father and it is proven and you had no idea about the adoption till after it happened they must give you all the information on the baby and if it has been adopted and if adopted they will make the adopted parents give up the child to you.

for sure, with any criminal question you ought to really search for suggestion from an criminal professional. although, i imagine the biggest problem will be the way it would make the mum look if the daddy mandatory to or had to be notified later, or by some means discovered out on his own. the daddy ought to sue for custody or visitation and the mum would look uncooperative from the initiating. My question again is why would not the mum choose the daddy to attraction to close? Is it because he's by some means risky to the baby? Then the mum is likely justified to withhold the techniques. Or is it a own reason, which contain they broke up and it will be awkward or demanding? If that's the rationalization, the mum ought to imagine how her determination will influence her baby later in existence. there is extra to the alternative than baby help - there is family individuals unit to contemplate, medical heritage, the truth that in some unspecified time sooner or later the baby will opt to attraction to close who the daddy is, the embarrassment of attending to inform medical doctors and faculties that the daddy is unknown, and so on.

Moral of the story. Before having sex with someone make certain that you are willing to suffer the consequences of not really knowing what that person is all about.
Get to know a girl before doing the nasty because she might be nasty and either give you the nasty or bear your child that will tragically repeat her cycle or worse.
Good luck you seem like you would be a good father to the child if the child is really yours.

I really think the only way to prove anything is to get a DNA test. I feel for the child involved in this situation. I dont know if she is grown, or what....but at least she is still in family's hands (ie at least she didn't go up for public adoption)

Just because you go to welfare and SAY your a child's father doesn't prove that you are. Is your name on her birth certificate as the father? Do you have DNA testing to prove you are the father. You have no rights as anything unless you can prove you are the father.

This is a very complex question, and you don't want to rely on the well-intentioned but uneducated opinions of strangers. You need an attorney in the state of occurence, and you may also need a tribal attorney.
I respect and admire your concern and sense of responsibility. I hope this turns out the way you want it to.
