Where can I find Blue Roses? My girlfriend saw them in Switzerland and really liked them. Also if you answer don't say "in switzerland" :)

While the introduction of a true blue rose is least A FEW YEARS AWAY, these roses are the closest you can come for now. Growers of roses are baiting our interest by name roses with "blue" names. How you grow your plant will affect color tone. The more sunlight the more bleached out the color. Look for a combination of either morning sun and afternoon shade or the other way around.

I DON'T know where you can get BLUE roses, but I DO know that you can get WHITE roses just about anywhere. Just get a vase of water, trim the end of the rose stem very sharply, put the rose in and add BLUE food coloring to it. I've seen this done, so it should work. And overnight, you should have a gorgeous blue rose! Good luck!

There is No SUCH THING as a blue rose! Hybridizers have been trying to breed them for years. The closest there is are lavender roses. If you want dyed, then go ahead. But don't believe anything else.

You can do this yourself by buying white roses and trim the stems with a sharp knife. then put blue dye and water in a container like a vase and then put the freshly cut roses in the vase. They will soak up the dye and become blue. Many florists use this method.

There is a rose called "Blue Girl" I had one a few years back. they are more lavender then blue and tend to go back to the original cutting or graph color of pink.
Beautiful roses for about a year tho.

I'd just get on line to FTD and see if they can help you! Good luck - the blue roses sound beautuiful!!!!! I'm thinking the off colors like that are either grown organically or colored with dye.

I grew this in Colorado. It is a nice rose, but basically a lavender in color. Not too much scent, though : (
