If it says "Made in Occupied Japan" it was made in a very narrow span of time immediately after WW2, this could make it collectible. Since it is a Christian image (of Jesus knocking on the door, a common public-domain painting) it was probably imprinted or a decal produced within the last 50 years or so (I doubt you'd find "Made in Nippon", which indicates pre-WW2 era, on something with a Christian image). What might make it valuable is if you can discern what manufacturer produced the plate... do you see any other marks on the back? If you do, you can scan the back of the plate, print a copy of the markings, and take your photo to the library to look up collector's pottery from Japan. My guess, though, would be that it doesn't really have much value... unless you're Christian and like those things hanging on your wall... =)

Question?- does your plate actually say 18 k gold?
or is it just trimmed in goldish around the edge?
also is the plate dated? does the plate have holes in the back for hanging purposes? Is the plate around the edge smooth and a complete circle or is it fancy edge?
just wondering ....these factors will make a difference

Go to ebay completed listings. Use key words as above if you can't find a maker's mark or manufacturer name on it
