there is a school dance at our school and i don't have a date!!!well...acctually... none of my friends do.but some people do.does this mean i'm not popular or something?why don't guys like me???!!! is it because i'm asian???

The second answer you got was the best. Ask him if he has a date to the dance first, then go from there. The worst thing he can say is that he is already going with someone. Go to the dance anyway with friends and maybe you will meet someone totally new...Don't stress over it.

Ask him if he is going. No matter what he answers, ask him if he wants to go with you. You need to take chances with people and they will respect you for taking chances. You will be more popular by complimenting and being nice to people than by stressing about your own popularity.
By the way, ethnicity has no part in any of this.

uhm.. you should ask the guy if he has a date.. and if he doesnt ask him if he wants to go with you.. and some guys are too shy to ask girls to dance because of what other people think.. dont worry.. theres someone out there that likes you.. and its not because your asian.. im asian too.. people like me..

if you like someone then just ask him and if you don't get a date it doesn't matter just go with your friends youll have more fun without a date because you can dance with whoever you want

I think that you should make the move and ask some guy out, cause guys dont always have the guts to ask out girls.

Take a chance.
Walk up to the guy of your choice, and ask, "Would you like to go to the dance with me?"
If he says, "No," say, "Well thanks anyway."
Be pleasant, polite, and friendly.
If you cannot get a date, go with your friends.
