I said that today and some people thought that was racist. The reason I said it was becuase some guy was complaining that he was stopped by police for no reason. So I said what I said becuase I know black people get stopped offten for doing nothing more than being black while driving. My comment was meant to let him know that his little spat with cops is nothing compared to how blacks are treated by police in some places.

Some of you are getting too technical..how do i know he has no black blood??? geez.

the guy is mexican.

And I said that becuase some of my black friends have stories of how they got stopped for no reason.

Its just that my black friends have more of these stories than my other friends.

Well... with your explaination, it does NOT sound racist... but if you just said it in every day life, yes... its racist...

and I TOTALLY agree with Lea A.... I know I'll probably get a thumbs down for this but WHO CARES? If a black person said "I wish I was white so the police would leave me alone." Thats NOT racist... but if a white person says to a white person "Be glad your not black because of the police" your racist......... its the same idea, just different wording from different races, but the white people always got to be the racist ones....

My Poppop is amazingly racist. I comprehend it because of the fact he grew up in a time whilst racial tensions have been extreme, yet i do no longer condone it in any respect. i'm nevertheless turning out to be up the place race is a great concern. i do no longer think of human beings could decide by making use of the colour of their dermis, yet by making use of the context of their character. Racism is everywhere. I propose, check out the race for government. have you ever heard the flaws reported approximately Obama because of the fact he's black? i think of racism is a extensive concern for each race. Black human beings may well be racist, whites may well be racist, asians may well be racist, hispanics may well be racist. Do you notice? Racism is everywhere, and at the same time as this is undesirable, i do no longer think of it is going to ever be thoroughly destroyed. i'm proud to no longer be racist, and by making use of me no longer being racist, and human beings around the area chosing to no longer discriminate by making use of dermis coloration, we are those to make a favorable substitute in the worldwide.

It isn't racist NOW because you explained yourself here.

But, if you aren't black yourself, you really shouldn't say that. I know you meant well, but they didn't. Just word it differently next time, or else you will run into a lot of offended people.

On the surface it would sound racist but I see your point. Just think about how what you say will be taken before you open your mouth.

Doesn't sound racist to me, and I can tell you didn't mean it in any offensive way. A lot of people seem to think that if you mention race at all, you're racist. It's like you're not allowed to notice race(if you're white).

yes, you were being a racist. why? because you assumed that by looking a him you saw his skin color and that he wasn't black. How do you know what races are in his blood?

I don't think it was racist. Those who confronted you obviously are not familiar with DWB laws. I hope some blacks answer your question. I believe they will also think your comment was sympathetic not racist.
