My back pain is worse in the morning. I can't even roll over in bed....I have to use my hands to turn. I had an MRI and I have 2 herniated disks at L-4-5 and L-5, S1. I take tylenol and move around, take a hot shower and am okay. If you have this awful shooting pain through out your body when you sneeze, you most definitely have a herniated disk! Go get diagnosed and stay away from those chiropractors!

I went thru everything you did... my friend is a physical therapist and she gave me some stretches... lie on your back with your feet up on a chair.. let your knees fall first to the left for a minute, then to the right for a minute.... then to counter that stretch. lie on your bed with your leg hanging down... then switch sides and repeat for a minute on each side. I was having a type of muscle spasm each morning and only going out and walking up and down the hill near my house would help until I did these stretches. I did the chiropractor.. new mattress.. new feather bed... Actually the feather bed is great.. bought the expensive one tho....

I feel for you. I've had the same problem for years. The thing that helps me most is sleeping on my back. It's hard to get used to doing, but I forced myself because the pain became so excruciating. Getting lots of good exercise helps to--strengthening the back muscles.

I've been having that and someone informed me that it could be stress. I changed my job and I no longer have it anymore. I am not sure it is the real cause but I don't have any pains anymore.
