Who would win? Why?

Even if you think adamantium and mutant healing factor beat mortal flesh and blood any day, Batman defeated Superman using his wits. Batman ties a bomb to an innocent person that would blow up if Superman were to punch Batman. Thus, in a crisis of conscience, Superman yielded.

So, who would win in a knock down throwdown between Wolverine and Batman?

Wolvie has no conscience and doesn't care about innocent people. But Batman would spray some expanding polyurethane foam insulation into his face, so he couldn't see, or breathe, or track him by scent, or anything.

Then while Wolverine was slicing up his OWN FACE trying to wipe the sticky stuff out of his eyes, Bats would hit him with an ultrasonic whistle from his utility belt, and attack the only bones that are NOT laced with Adamantium: the tiny bones of the inner ear (otherwise Wolverine would be deaf!)

Finally, Batman would be able to hogtie Wolverine with his silken lasso once Wolvie was dazed. As long as he was careful to tie him up in such a way that his claws couldn't reach the bonds, Logan is helpless. He's not super strong. And Batman would turn him over to the Gotham Police and they would put him in Arkham Asylum. Maybe he'd escape from there, but he's not STUPID, like the Hulk. Wolvie would leave Batman alone, after that....!

Wolverine would kick his butt. Batman is not nearly as quick as Wolverine. Batman may be able to "out-think" Wolverine, but he'd never manage to survive even a single attack.

Wolverine would be able to sneak up on Batman without a problem, but I doubt the other opposite be possible.

As far as laying a trap, similar to how Batman had done for Wolverine, it would never work. Wolverine has never had the same morals. He believes the death of a few for the overall good is satisfactory.

So, it comes down to "what kind of damage could Batman do to Wolverine"? With the unbreakable bones, and his healing factor, I'd have to say none.

Wolverine would whips Batman to a pulp. Wolverine is a mutant. Any pain Batman would dish out Wolverine could heal back. Another things is Wolverine claws would tear Batman apart. Batman fighting is more defensive and to contain the person. Wolverine is a vicious monster, he just whales on you until your dead.

Wolverine doesn't have the conscience that Superman has...therefore he wouldn't care about the innocent person. He'd just kick the living crap out of the Dark Knight.

Batman.
He was one of the few superheros that did not actually have any superpowers, yet he was still able to save many people. I mean if you actually had superpowers you really have only the choices of either become a superhero or villain or go into hiding and have serious issues. Batman actually made the conscious decision to put his own life at risk to protect others. He also had one of the coolest costumes and gadgets.

in JLA: Tower of Babel batman figures out how to
take down the whole JLA.
his genius, proficiency in countless disciplines, immense
wealth (which means high-tech gadgetry) and favorable record
against more powerful adversaries all lead me to the conclusion
that with preparation natman can take down ANYONE.
wolverine isn't really that difficult.
wolvy's got super strength and senses, a healing factor,
and adamantium.
big whoop.
bats ties his legs, throws acid on his face, electrocutes him
w/ a charged battarang (spelling?) and then strings him to a
tree. batman fought SPAWN people. SPAWN.

As much as I like Wolvie, I have to give this one to Bats only for the simple fact that Bats is WAY smarter, a better fighter, and has WAY more gadgets to confound Wolvie.
