Your daughter needs effective counseling and she needs it NOW. A good counselor and maybe some meds until she can successfully come to grips with her past and learn how to deal with life. I note that you say she is in counseling, but is her current counselor doing her any good?

Maybe you should see if some group/family counseling would help and then GO. Do whatever it takes to help her learn how to deal with life.

Until then, the best thing you can do is try to be supportive and non-judgemental and don't rock the boat. As she gets more well, then she will be able to accept more change.

Well i'm sorry to hear that. But your best bet is probably to seek help with your daughter to let your daughter know that you are not those things. I mean its a sad thing. but all you can do is be by your daughters side. I hope your girlfriend understands the problem. and she won't leave. because of your daughter. And just understand your daughter might not be able to change. Do to the fact. Good luck..
