If they have a computer system and find you as a previous hire, they can fire you on the spot - what do you think the chances are that they have a computer system? If you have to lie on an application, you need to lie on something that can't be found out (like what you actually did on a job) than what can easily be traced (employers, degrees).

No, it is not ok to lie on an application. I know a teacher who lied on an application for her child's student loan. The child did not get the loan and the teacher lost her job. It might be tempting to lie, but the consequences can be very harsh.
If it is for a job application, sell yourself on the talents you have. You already know that you would be the BEST for the position -- just convince your employer of that. Have a polished, grammatically correct resume; neat appearance, a firm handshake, and a pleasant smile. I'd hire you with those assets!

It's never okay to lie on an application. CEOs of Fortune 500 companies have been fired for lying on their applications. Any falsification on an application is grounds for immediate dismissal. You're better off trying to explain what happened than lying about it. Chances are you'll get caught.

Not OK to lie - but WHAT is the question you want to lie on, exactly? "Have you ever work for any of are company?" I can't even guess at what the actual question is (you mangled it pretty badly).

More important for you is to be sure you UNDERSTAND the application.

No. It is not OK. IF they check before they hire you, they WON'T hire you, and if they find out later, they will fire you for lying. And they WILL find out.
