some christian women only wear skirts because that's the vow they made in their hearts to GOD to do. Like my momma, she's the same way. I posted a question on what should i tell people who ask me why i wear skirts alot and i included that i'm a christian and some of the answers i got back were just mean and hateful because people think i'm religious but i'm not . Maybe if they had some of the understanding i have they wouldn't have answered me in that way. but, 2 bad 4 them. GOD BLESS!!!

Interesting. I agree with a lot of the answerers who cite specific sects... I'm a Christian, and in my community modesty is a big deal. Some, maybe, just think pants are too revealing because they show off a woman's shape. I'm just thankful I didn't grow up in that setting, because jeans are my best friend!

Well, many Christians are very conservative. I was in a private Christian school and we had to wear culottes and dress that hung under the knee. You shouldn't bother though, I think they just don't want to show "too much" of their skin! Bye.

There are some religious sects that believe like the Bible says, a woman is to dress like a woman, not a man. Not too many do this any more, though, the Amish, Menonite and some Pentacostal. It's okay, it's harmless and it's what they believe in!

Maybe they like skirts. or maybe they're old fashioned. I'm a Christian and I mostly wear jeans.

Good question because I've always wondered about this myself. No where in the bible did I ever read it's a sin to wear a pair of jeans.

Your referring to old fashioned Christian women who always wear those ugly moomoo dresses...
because supposedly women are supposed to always wear dresses, do nothing but pop out kids and cook and clean... its the ideal wife (while your screwing around)

i was wondering this myself.
as a child i was brought up in the pentechostal way as they believe skirt = woman
as i grew older and got out on my own, i began to realize its not in what you wear or how you do your hair, its whats in your heart. and "the church"is just a buliding to me again its whats IN your heart that counts!

it states in what u might call the old testament that a woman may not wear a garment of a man or that of war,meaning pants and a gun or any such weapon or article of clothing tailored for a man. hope this helps.
