All children do things at different ages. She may just need a little more time. Try letting her be, she may just surprise you one day and walk all over the house!

Honey, 10 months it's just fine what she's doing! Most babies don't start walking until around their first birthday. Actually, a few of my daughter's friends are 10 months and not even crawling yet! Every little one works at a different pace. Honestly, by the sound of it, she sounds like her first steps will be around 11-11.5 months, and this is completley normal (as in - RIGHT in the average!) so don't worry! Everything you are doing is right. Eventually, she will start getting very determined, and she will start pulling herself to a stand very often, she'll reach out for your hands and insist on you walking with her. They're more fun at the stage she's at right now! Don't hurry the first steps. Parenting gets one step harder when they're toddlers.

This is very normal. Some babies don't walk until much, much later. My brother didn't walk until he was almost 18 month. Of course he just got up and took off and didn't go through the normal spills that babies tke when first learning to walk. I, on the other hand started walking at 5 1/2 months old, much to my mother's dismay. My oldest started walking, very well with few tumbles at 10 1/2 months. (Of course, he never crawled, but was climbing, literally, at 6 months old.) My 10 month old is now trying to start walking. She is very cautious though. She will not let go unless she forgets what she is doing. Crawling, she will bulldoze through anything, but she is very cautious when it comes to walking. Some babies are like that. My brother was and by the time he was three he was very agile and could do gymnastic feats, with absolutely no training, that many kids twice his age, with training, cannot. Just wait and don't pressure her and I bet she will just take off one day and then you will really have to stay on your toes. I truly believe that the oldre the child is when they start to walk, the more steady they are on their feet.

It's all timing! Think of it as being the first lesson to being a mom, it's not about you (not that this is)!!!! It will happend when she wants it to. My son walked at 9mo, I didn't do much, when he was stable enough I walked with him holding one hand. My neice walked at 13 month old, she had no desire and was contect playing in here circle! I'm sure that my next one will walk at 2yo because it was too easy for the first! LOL

Anyway, hang in there and don't put too much pressure on her! Oh I did use the walk that had wheels. Of course not at the top of the stairs and always in the same room so he didn't get hurt!

Entirely normal! Don't worry. She'll be running soon enough!!!! And then you'll wish she was only cruising! She may not walk all the time, unassisted, for a few more months yet. My baby's 12 months and she was doing what yours is at 10, now she's taking a few steps on her own. Don't push her! She's doing fine.

I think most kids walk around 11 to 12 months. 10 months is a little early to expect them to walk. I had an early walker and a late one, my daughter walked at 9 months and my son at 12. I also know some kids who didn't walk til 15 months. Don't push her and she will suprise you one day :)

Offer her a 2 liter bottle of soda. I know this sounds strange, but hear me out. Don't let her drink it and make sure the lid is on really tight. Set it on the floor and say "Come and get it, would you like this?"

We did that and a glass of water. Our son wanted to stick his hand in or get a drink from a big person's cup.

She doesn't absolutely need to be walking yet though. All children develop different skills at different times. Be patient, before you know it, she will be riding the bus to school.

Good Luck

Your baby sounds perfectly normal. Some babies start walking, or taking steps as early as 8 months and some as late as 15 months. Don't rush her she will walk when she's ready and then you will wonder why you were in such a hurry for her to walk -lol-.

Work with her, but be patient with her as well. She will walk when she is ready. My daughter started walking at 9 months but one of my friends little girl didn't really start walking until she was 12 months old. Every child learns at a different rate.

The sounds like a 10 month old baby. When she/he reaches 12 months give or take a week or so, that's when the walking begins.

Have fun ;-)
