I'm not sure where the timing marks are on those old jiggers,flywheel maybe.take number one sparkplug out,wedge a cork in the hole,turn engine by hand in normal direction,when cork pops out the piston is on the right stroke,bring piston up to top dead centre,take piston back down 1/4" then fit dissy with rotor pointing at number one spark lead.

I would get raid of that cheesy flathead. Then get 350 small-block for it. It would be a running SOB.

it needs to be put back in ,,on no-1 cylinder up if possible,,,with the button pointing at no-1 wire,,other than that is like a normal car,,good luck with it.
