Think. What binomials when multipled together equal that polynomial? Reverse FOIL method, if you will. For example, (x+2)(x+5) = x^2+7x+10 5+2=7 5*2=10 So, what two numbers add to 3/2 and multiply to equal 1/2?

I'm not sure about decomposition, but I know how to factor trinomials !
