Chuck Taylor. He wasn't a star player, but he had the 1st successful shoe deal with Converse. The Chuck Taylor or All-Star has sold 600 million pairs and is the most successful basketball shoe in history. Even the Jordan Brand hasn't been nearly as successful. Nike bought Converse after filing for bankruptcy in 2001. Dwyane Wade, Kirk Hinrich, Jameer Nelson, and Chris Bosh are the main NBAer's who endorse the brand.
