First of all I am very sorry to hear of your loss. I cannot even try to imagine the pain/loss you feel.

Your question about when to sell the house and move. My suggestion would be to "wait" a little bit so that you have time to think things through when you're not in a state of just losing your wife. Ultimately that is up to you, but I'd allow myself the time I needed before doing something hastily or as a reaction to something.

Good Luck to you.

I am confused what you are asking "was the second wife to die from cancer"
But if this is a serious question, they say to wait one year after the death of a loved one before making any drastic changes,(moving, buying or selling property...)

It was a two room apartment over top of a local shoe shop (the only bathroom was downstairs in the actual shop), where she worked as a cashier. So there wasnt many rooms to just go around and make love in. But yeah I remember being young and making love everywhere. Those were nice times, so long ago.

I am sorry for your loss. . . I would say that the amount of time it takes to move on is completely individual. When you feel like it is the right time then do it. Don't let others try to persuade you into anything. They are not living your life - - you just need to make the choice.

You still have to wait for the medical examiner to make she died peacefully and with out someone helping her along and also if any will was left, they would need to look it over to make sure you are the only one on it. It can take up to two years. All of your joint accounts will be frozen until the final results are known.

Everybody is different.

I knew a guy of 81 whose wife had died a couple of years before.
He got so bored he sold up, bought a mobile home and took off.

I'd say get a new chick first and see if she likes your current digs before getting a new one.

when you feel the time is right you will know. don't rush into any decision. you are still emotional about the death. there is no set time.
