It is very dry, there isn't acid rain, and they were built well.

I can't give you a complete answer but I know it has to do with the region and the amount of rainfall. It also has to do with the type of cement they used. The cement they used is different from what we use nowadays. Presently our cement will last roughly 70 years while theirs as you can see, is still there. It had something to do with the way they made it, a way in which as of today no one knows. There is more to it but you can't build a monument without the cement and blocks.

Because their in a desert made of stones that are heavy... ex. the sphinx has only wind erosion from sand and thats about it.

Because of the dry climate and that they're made of stone.
