If you're referring to scary movies versus Scary Movie and its sequels...
I'm preferential to the classic and vintage scary movies. My favorites are the Living Dead movies by George Romero... although Land of the Dead fell short of my expectations.

Hmmm ... hahaha Army of Darkness. That's funny, forgot about that! WOw ... child hood memories. Um, I haven't yet found a favorite. I'm a big fan and well... none have ever been that privileged or good enough to call my favorite. 6th sense was pretty ok, so was exorcist & the ring.

Silent hill, its awesome! But the special FX are a little cheesy.
But if u like to be scared, confused , excited, and a little grossed out over the gore then it is an awesome movie!

Don't know if I"d call it "favorite" since I would never see it again, but the scariest one I ever saw was Blair Witch Project. Freaked me out for weeks afterward.

I like Freddy, I think it was called The Last Nightmare. It jumped back and forth between reality and dreams.
