(an argument with police; trying to talk way out of a ticket; thought to be underage driver, or having too much to drink, etc)

Well, I got popped for drunk driving, it was wrong to be driving yes. I am sorry for that and I don't do it anymore, I come, I stay...show me the couch. But.....the night I spent in jail was terrible. Not that I did the sobriety test in the middle of a busy street, nor was it humiliating to be cuffed and driven away from my friends in the back of a police car. The worst was after I was booked and put into my cell, then I had to pee. OMG, there is no privacy. Hey I only blew a .08 not drunk. But, still had to pee. From my cell I was looking at the entire police force desk through a plexi glass window the only thing between them and the toilet was a wall, short wall bout 2 feet tall. As I sat on the pot I was looking at everyone that was in the jailhouse, oh.... and they were looking at me. Then of course I broke the seal and had to keep on peeing every 10 minutes. 15 girls in my cell and I had to keep going back to the pot. Degrading. Needless to say I don't drink and drive anymore.

Not really a traffic violation.....
I was sitting on a curb of a slow suburban street talking to 2 girls. A big white car swerves around me in an exaggerated move & comes close to hitting another car coming in the opposite direction. If he had just slowed down there wouldn't have even been a problem.
The man parks his car, claims he is the police chief (the car did look like an unmarked police car), he threatens to arrest me for impeding traffic. I reply to the girls we better move into the yard. The cop (?) yells at me "what did you say?" - I repeated myself & he replied "good... if you talk back to me I'm taking you in!"
That was a long time ago when I was in my late teens. The guy was a real jerk whether he was really the police cheif or not!

Another time (more recently) I passed a stopped school bus. In my state you have to wait for the bus to restart before you can pass it (to protect school children). It was wrong but I did do it. A cop saw me & turned on his lights but I wouldn't pull over till we got to a side street with MUCH less traffic. He was upset I did not pull over immediately even tho I used both my turn signal & used hand jestures to show him I was going to the side street.
No way am I going to put myself & a police officer at risk by stopping on a busy street. Too many people including police officers have been killed in this area.

I was driving in some very dense, early morning fog on my way to work. I came upon a car stopped at the stop sign on the opposite side of the intersection from me. The car was white, had no headlights on, and the person appeared rather distracted by the cell phone he was talking into. I immediately assumed that the man in black suit inside the car was some big hot shot business person who thought he was above using common coutesy and didn't need to have his lights on in the fog. Being the less than patient person that I am, I flicked my lights off and on to give him a hint that he needed to get his head out of his butt and put his lights on. He saw what I did but ignored me. I then raised my middle finger to let him know how I felt about his behavior and made my right turn onto the street I was going on to work. Boy was I suprised to see this "business man" turn right behind me and turn on his flashing lights. I had given the finger to a cop in an unmarked police car. I was furious. I knew I had done nothing wrong as far as my driving went. I had my lights on. I used my signal light to go through the intersection, blah, blah, blah... He pulled me over for giving him the finger. He asked for my driver's license and I was mad enough to ask him what exactly I had done wrong. He asked me if I felt my behavior back at the stop sign had been appropriate. I wouldn't even look at the cop but I said "It's definitely appropriate when the person I was giving it to was too stupid to know enough to turn his lights on in such a bad case of fog." For a second he didn't know what to say. He then told me my behavior was inappropriate and walked back to his car to check out my license. I have absolutely no traffic or any other violations what-so-ever and he had nothing on me. When he gave me my license back he said "Try to have a nice day." and I said "Same to you" and pulled away. He followed me for another block and never turned his lights on. What a guy.
