YESSS!!!! I love her music, some of those songs hit so close to home. She is the BEST!!!

Sorry if I come across a little too strong...I tend to do that when conversation is about Melissa.

Yeah, but I have had a really hard time being able to listen to her stuff since my sister-in-law died. Melissa was one of my sister-in-law's favorite artists so now all Melissa's stuff just reminds me of her...we were really close friends.

I just wish they had found enough funding to put together that Janice Joplin movie with Melissa as Janice, that would have been awsome!

I have all of Melissa's CDs. With the exception of a couple of songs, I love them all. The voice, attitude and look. She has it all.

Yep.

I think she is an INCREDIBLE musician & songwriter, & her voice is BEAUTIFUL.

She stands for ALL of us, & that's what I really like about her.

She keeps it real & doesn't try to look all cheap & phony & manufactured like all the other so-called "Musicians" do these days.

She doesn't dress all sleazy & moan about "Sexy" stuff in her songs; she writes her own stuff & writes about REAL stuff like women's rights & overcoming obstacles in American life.

It's cool; they're very anthemic & passionate, almost spiritual in a way; I really like that.

& her voice is very unique & powerful; it's full of passion & not all
"Polished" & phony like a lot of women try to be; it's got some weight & really brings her songs to life by showing that she is an every-day American woman like the rest of us, only WAY cooler & more talented.

I love some of her music, I think her wife is hot and I admire her courage to survive breast cancer. She's the kind of role model that more women should emulate.

Hey, she's cool enough.

I give a lot of credit to a cancer survivor who comes back and gets right into the stream of things.

I'd never choose her as a friend, I think she's a little different, but she's cool. And she makes good music.
