There are seven:
Article I [The Legislative Branch]
Article II [The Presidency]
Article III [The Judiciary]
Article IV [The States]
Article V [The Amendment Process]
Article VI [Legal Status of the Constitution]
Article VII [Ratification]
(see links below for details).

As to their validity, depends what you mean by "valid." Ratification (the 7th Article) ended in 1790 once all 13 states had ratified it, though on March 4, 1789, the government under the Constitution began operations (after the 9th state had ratified it, in accordance with the provisions of the 7th article). Though this article served its purpose upon ratification, the fact that the constitution was ratified and is still itself valid, would suggest that this article, too, is still valid.

Most people today are not so familiar with these original articles, but are aware of the amendments to the constitution that followed them. These amendments came about thanks to Article V.
