simple, it's when you fake a tan :))

for example, people think you got you're "perfect" tan from sunbathing but then in truth you apply this spray/lotion in your body that makes you tan.

getting a fake tan just means your a bum and you don't really benefit from getting a fake tan since you have to keep buying the tanning lotion/spray EVERY time you run out but you can benefit if YOU only want to get tanned for a day or 2.
