Or do you wish people would focus on the issues themselves? Do you get what I mean? I'm afraid I'm not being terribly clear today.

Absolutely!.

I love the give and take of political discourse. And unlike other sections where there is a right or wrong answer, in politics, its all subjective. There really is no right or wrong.

Granted, it has kind of sunk to low levels recently. Check out some of the name calling and comments posted as "questions" here on Yahoo Answer's Political Section.

I love to talk politics and religion, but those that have a different
opinion will not change because of what I say and just get
ticked off at me. I can maybe influence folks that really have
no opinion or even know anything about whats going on.
I am busy converting folks to my way of thinking and have already recruited three Jamaicans and a girl from Ipanema !

Talking politics is popular coz it allows people to vent their anger and frustrations. However, I would venture to say that few people really know what they're talking about when it comes to this subject. Btw, if you're not being clear, then atleast no one can say that you're a "transparent" type of person...LOL.

It depends on who I'm around...when I drink I always talk about politics and religion...my friend gets mad...but usually who I talk to likes to do the same...It is not that I want to change peoples minds as much as I want to hear what they have to say...maybe if I heard something that made better sense than maybe I would think about it...but I haven't yet.

I don't really like to discuss politics because it's frustrating but I find myself drawn into some of the threads on Y! answers more than I'd like to be.

Hi. That's ok. It is a full moon I think. No I don't like to talk about it. I don;t think it matters. I like tot alk about justice instead. That's what makes a difference. Reality and truth, not politics.
