I have to write a paper on experts who take advantage of their positions. Any ideas will help me! I'm in a rut! Please help!

I guess the answer to the question depends on the perspective that your asking. Are you asking from the perspective of the opposing party (the people the lawyer is working against) or are you asking from the point of view from the client of the lawyer?
If you are asking from the opposing party then I would think the answer (from watching many episodes of Law and Order) would be leverage and knowledge. They have something the other party wants and they are going to use it to get what they can for their client. In addition to have a very strong knowledge of the law, they are very well aware of what they can, cannot and would try to do and with that combined information they try to get the best they can with what they got.
Just an opinion.

Well I dont wanna get sued LOL ....... but sometimes they have been RUMORED (lol) to stretch paperwork out to charge more to the client or claim it was done that way and charged for something they didnt do. Knowing the law process is something the general public isnt always aware of and because of this they never generally question billing etc...... another way is that they could take a pay off from an opposing client to make their client drop a lawsuit. Possibilities are endless on this one Im afraid LOL ......... Good Luck :)
