It was a tune called "Seasons In the Sun", and some of the lyrics included, "Good-Bye Papa, it's time to die". And, "Good-Bye Michelle, my little one". The song talked about not being to reach the stars, but only starfish on the beach.
Can anyone tell me who recorded this song, and what the heck it was about? "We had fun, we had sun, we had seasons in the sun" were also some of the lyrics. Can anyone help? Thank You so much!

I don't remember the singers name, but I read somewhere that it was about a person dying of a terminal disease and and saying his last goodbyes to his family. Its one of the classic 70's "death pop" songs (right up there with "Run Joey Run" and "Alone Again, Naturally").
