I need names of latin jazz female vocalists and really good songs that they've performed or recorded. I'm going to be in a Latin Jazz Ensemble and I want to learn the style a bit and their songs.

Flora Purim. Her best work is probably on Chick Corea Return To Forever - Light As A Feather
Actually this is Brazilian jazz. Does that count as latin jazz? This is a great CD and she is a great Brazilian jazz singer.
Another Brazilian jazz choice is Astrud Gilberto - Girl From Ipanema (with Stan Getz)

If she died then its celia Cruz she's the best I started singing her songs when i was like 8!
We might be into hip hop but at the dance we still dance to her songs!
