Railroad Ties For Sale Dallas

Geographically, Arlington is closer to FW. But the Art Institute of Dallas is in a bad location from Arlington anyway. It is in North Dallas, which is not close to Arlington at all. Downtown is really the only decent area that is close to Arlington. Two things: Dallas is MUCH better than FW. Fort Worth is really just a wannabe Dallas. There are better restaurants, attractions, shopping, etc. in Dallas. The person who thinks FW traffic is less hectic is ridiculous because traffic all over the metroplex is hectic. The second thing is, you should not go to the Art Institute unless you're prepared to spend a great deal of money. The Art Institutes also try to cheat you out of every cent they possibly can. There are other schools that are less expensive that can offer the same quality education. But its your call. Since you plan to live in Arlington, however, I would reccomend AI FW

No. Actual railroad ties were treated with creosote which has been banned in the US. They replaced creosote with pressure treated wood with an arsenic based chemical and people were getting sick so they banned that too. You can get landscape ties at most any lawn & garden but they aren't treated. I guess someone is working on a new type of treatment but it hasn't hit the market yet.

Maybe you can get old ties but I'm not sure I would want a chemical that has been banned in my landscape for years to come. Check with the railroad--sometimes I see old ones stacked by the tracks.

call your local rail road and they can hook you up. probably for free. you may need a permit to move them, they are very heavy! i build a set of step out of them because they are soaked in creosote they don't rot!
