Your stain may be permanently set in your shirt. It is important to treat a stain before you wash and dry a garment.

There are a few things you can try. Treat the stain with Shout or Spray n Wash and scrub it by hand first. Then let it soak for quite a while (I'd soak it overnight) in an enzyme-containing detergent. Then wash as usual in warm water.

These sites will give you some ideas for future use. Good luck with it.

Start with cold water rinsing and use any kind of prespotter. Even diswashing liquid works. Rub the stain with the soap and let it sit for 15 min. Rinse rub, repeat until it's out, then wash normally. The next time you get a stain don't put it in the dryer until the stain is washed out, it can set the stain.

Once you've dried it, the stain won't ever come out. It's set.
