my problem with the media is that it is so controlled by corporations and so driven to treat news like entertainment that I doubt we get any real substance in our newscasts.

The media spreads the word of someone using media devices which lots of people read or watch and what the media says sounds smart to them and that changes peoples opinions.

Why is the media so overrated?...because they report on the "stories" that are so sickeningly nauseatingly stupid. You hear about things like pets getting stuck in trees when thousands of people die each day from malaria and AIDS.
