I would like to get into this show, but I can't because of her, she's not pretty, looks anorexic and has no personality.

Thankyou thankyou thankyou. I thought I was the only one who felt this way. I love the show and honestly have tried to like her. I just find her frumpy with stringy hair and a stick for a figure. I just don't see what the producers found so great about her. Shes boring and has a monotonal way of talking that puts you to sleep.

Well they can't replace her now after two seasons. I don't think they need to replace Ellen Pompeo with another actor, but they do need to change her character a bit. Maybe do something with her hair and makeup. Give her a more cheery attitude. That should help a whole lot.
Plus, do you know the Ellen Pompeo and Patrick Dempsey are the new models for New York and Company clothing stores? They are doing a ton of ads together. I guess some people must like her.

Sometimes the character Meredith gets on my nerves - some of her actions are not justifiable but I think that Ellen makes her likeable. I cannot picture anyone playing Meredith any better, regardless of looks.

I bet the Asker of this question is American? I think it's great to have a normal looking person, not a plastic bizarro freak that doesn't look like anyone in the real world. Aggree she has her moment that she looks 'funny' - but don't we all - we don't all want Botox injections like Cindy Crawfors et al!
It's a shame that the Emerican ideal of beauty appears to be fake and plastic.

I agree that she is kinda homely looking but a different Meredith would take some getting used to.

I agree with you , I hate the girl (Ellen Pompeo) because she sooooo ugly and I hate Meridith in Grey's Anatomy because she such a annoying thinks she best girl and I HATE THAT!!

well it is a little of both.she does look anorexic and she looks like she's in her forties. they DO try to make her lok younger but i dont really like her but then again theres parts of the show where i think that she looks gorgeous and wish i looked just liked her. it's weird. also i don't think that she's a GREATactor.

I do aggree that she needs to eat but I don't think they should change the actress. It would be...not Meredith.

I love the show, but I would not mind one bit if they replaced Meredith. She is ugly, and weird.
