permutatations - order matters.
combinations - order does not matter.

Look for any clue as to order. If you can change the order after a draw, like a poker hand, it is a combination. If not, like a baseball lineup, then it is a permutation.

There will always be more permutations than combinations for any two operands (except 1 and 2)

For awhile whilst i became a baby I ate peanut butter and miracle whip sandwiches.
