There are plenty of testing alternatives that are humane and much more accurate, there are computer programs, test tube procedures and more. Here is a site on them.

I used to work for a company that sold pet supplies and people asked me that all the time. They actually got mad when I said of course the products were tested by dogs - they were dog products.
Seriously, I'm assuming you are talking about product testing rather than medical. I don't agree to product testing. There are many hair care products that will do this to check if a product will burn the eyes. That is just mean. I'm sure that by now they all have the know-how to make a product that does not irritate the eyes. And if they don't then the people who buy it should be smart enough to avoid their eyes.

I have never seen a dog volunteer for testing make up especially since they don't even wear the stuff. Test on Human volunteers they can sign a waiver not to sue. They know what to expect. Use prisoners perhaps. Or women can just stop using that makeup and go natural. I don't know about you, if they have to test the the products because they want to know what the CHEMICALS will do to you I would think twice about using it, wouldn't you. Have you ever seen some of the crap that goes into make up. Have you ever seen a dog with Acne ? I bet the stuff that caused acne was tested!

You don't know much about animal testing I gather. Most scientists agree that it is not necessary.

Still manufacturers will continue to test because, god forbid, if you have a hangover and don't get up your baby might decide that what is in that bottle under the kitchen sink might make a good breakfast.

Somehow we still consider that animals are not worthy beings to be shielded from pain, cruelty and abuse. That is a very sad commentary on our "superior" status in the scheme of things.

I've said it before...

Test everything on the scumbags sitting on death row sucking up taxpayers dollars! What better way to test a human product, but on a human?

Plenty of companies do not test on animals and their products get approved and put on the shelves. Some companies choose to torture these animals when it isn't necessary.

Human testing.

THERE ARE PLENTY OF PEOPLE WILLING TO BE TEST SUBJECTS.

Oh boo hoo, so it costs more. It's much more ethical to do tests on consenting individuals rather than creatures who are not capable of speaking for themselves.
