Why in the world would it be released?! It's not like a coming attraction, "Coming this Fall... blah blah blah blah blah."

That's an answer no 1 knows. To tell u the truth many people have different opinions. I think it should. STEVE was my role model and an inspiration to many people around the world. I want to see this video because like many other videos he got Steve is a brave guy and i want to see how he faugth to the end of his life. Even thought he is not with us this day. I will always carry him in my heart.

Ughh.. this question disgusts me as much as the fact you could have gone through the other thousands of posts on this.
NO if you read news reports you would know it will not be released it was NEVER meant to be released!!!
What may be released is the 10 days of footage prior to his passing, Only if the iriwn family would like the documentary to carry on!!
The actual footage of his death is with police to finish the cornoary report, and that will never be released it is going to be destroyed. Like we as the general public has any right 2 see that video anyway!! & for anyone who is going to say its up to his wife to decide, read what i have wrote, and also think about this, they have declined a state funeral, so why the hell would they let us invade there privacy and see him die?

at last, it is going to likely be launched. i do belive, besides the undeniable fact that this is dying, Irwin created plenty for the conventional public to alter into in love along with his kin and morals. Now each thing has a commencing up, and an end. Unfortunatly this has a tragic ending, that no person interior the conventional public would understand approximately for an extremely long term. i think of the least his kin can do for the conventional public , is to launch it, so that it is going to all GREIVE collectively. i understand that no longer ONE individual could snort or criticize it.

Even if not destroyed...the video tape is property of the production company he worked with...since he was filming an episode when the incident occured. Out of respect I would think the production company would not allow the video to be released.

It won't. The family is going to destroy it. People saying there is a copy floating around the internet are dumb teenage kids. The only copy was confisgated by the police directly from the boat and the family will decide what to do with it. Just like with Dale Earnhardt's autopsy photos' they will seal them up and destroy them.

It won't be publically and officially released because it shows his death and that's grounds for getting sued for millions. But it could somehow get leaked out onto the internet like so many other private tapes have...but that's a long shot.

I think it should be released, if something like that happened to me i would want the whole world to see me go.
Steve even said in an interview that if he ever died hopefully it would be on tape.

Well, this is a very controversial question first of all his wishes were that if he died on camera HE wanted it to be seen by everyone. I think you should respect his wishes it it opitional if you want to veiw. i would not like to see it my self but i think it should be releasted.

The official word was that once it was used to determine what caused his death by the coroner it would be destroyed.
