Yeah well that's the Constitution for you. Really messed up. I have a few things I'd like to see changed in it because I think they are "messed up", you might think my suggested changes are messed up.

Here's an idea, propose a Constitutional Amendment to change it. The Framers made our country a "representative republic" and not a "democracy" for a reason. And so far it has worked, but if you don't like it, there are ways to change it.

Oh and this is not the first time an elected President received fewer votes that their opponent, do a little research, it's actually quite interesting.

People that don't understand the Electoral College may think it's messed up, but they missed that day of school in 8th grade. We have representative to do just that "represent" the political make up of their district or state. If every single person in the country had cast a ballot, 100% of the U.S. population, Bush would have won the higher percentage of votes. This system is in place to counter the other reason for a lack of voter turn out, such as travel distance to the polls, weather, ect... In the end, it is much more representative of the political opinions of the nation.

Yes, It is messed up, but that has very rarely happened in American history where the person with the most electoral votes hasn't won the majority. Just remember that Bush is from Texas and they have a ton of electoral votes.

Gore had more Electorial and Popular votes, but bush bought his way in.

IMPEACH HIM TODAY!

George W. Bush is a Moran. He should be impeached and executed for high treason of the United States of America.

Hes too stupid to think, he paid his way through elementary, middle, high school. and college, if not he would be stuck in the first grade!

He was never elected either time. He LOST the popular vote TWICE!

We need to do away with the Electoral collage So that crap like this No longer happens The popular vote should be what decides an election. after all it is Majority Rule in every thing else in politics Why should the presidential election be any different?

Actually, although I voted for Bush, I think we should do away with the Electoral College and let the popular vote determine the winner. We dodged a bullet on that one, though.

The Electoral College is one big scam, it eliminates the "one person, one vote" idea. The popular vote should win, no matter how many people live in a state!

It is plenty messed up.

Yes it was totally messed up. But it was planned. Remember, Bush Sr. had connections to the CIA.
