Hang 'em, flog 'em and shoot 'em, these are the only treatments the YOBS understand. They do not harm innocent people ever again when they're at the end of a rope. The greatest myth perpetrated on the British people, and elsewhere, has been that capital and corporal punishments do not work.

Yes, i agree with you.

Yobs know that they can take the mick and get no come back. Maybe if there were some summary justice they may think twice about being disrespectful.

Then again, lets not get carried away. In order for the police to gain repsect, it does need to be earned by the community. There are a lot of young kids who are in the wrong crowd at the wrong time and in the wrong place. The police are to protect as well as fight crime.

I disagree. I believe in the independence and separation of legislation, judiciary and enforcement. If we allow police to do such things, then we are giving up the right to an independent trial. We might as well have secret police doing whatever they or the politicians want.

I agree some lads are extremely annoying, and are causing harm to other people's lives and assets. We can only make our voices heard - to have more police enforcing the law to keep every one safe. Of course, deep down we so much want to tie up the yobs and make them our punchbags. However, if we let that happen, there will only be chaos in the country.

I thought they did this already. It's been going on for years. It has not proved effective. Except that they wear out their boots.
Quite often they shoot them nowadays, except they always shoot the wrong ones, so maybe they kick the wrong ones too, and that's why it never worked. In fact one sometimes wonders if they ever get the right man.
One thing for sure, that whatever they do, the will lie and lie and lie again. And they will always get away with it.
Perhaps we should put the police in the back of a van and kick the s h i t out of them.

No, it offers the chances for 'vigilante behaviour' from the police. But I do think that the public ought to be offered the chance to 'pay back the yobs' for their offences via the 'Public Stocks.'

In that scenario, 'Justice' might be then be seen to be done ~ and even experienced by the victims too.

Not really because it would take a yob to do it, and I like to think the police do maintain standards. Also how would you really know they were in the wrong? We have courts to decide that. I do wish there was a way of giving yobs a shock though.

This is a totally irresponsible question, if one of your family had been killed as a result of unnecessary police violence you would see that it is so wrong. There are many police officers who are simply yobs themselves and that is their motivation on the job

good olde bobbies used to have a mattress in the back of the van so they could beat the cr*p out of them but not leave any bruises!! Surprisingly there was very little need for a second lesson
