Deodorant of any kind is not the solution for a child of that age unless she has been checked out by a physician.

If she had adult body odor, that indicates an abnormal, possibly early hormonal imbalance, and could be, but is not necessarily precocious puberty. There are other metabolic problems also, that could result in abnormal body odors. If you child is bathing regularly, you should probably mention this problem to her doctor at the next routine visit.
Please don't listen to any of the above advice before having her thoroughly checked with her doctor. Don't just try and cover up the smell, investigate why she smells when she clearly should NOT.

I had to start wearing deoderant when I was 6. I wouldn't say it is "normal", but it happens. Buy Secret for her - it is very good. If she is smelly then the kids at school (if she's in school yet) will notice and it will make it very hard for her to keep friends. Secret will work even when she's out playing in the heat and sweating. She might be one of us "lucky" ones that gets to deal with puberty early. I had to start wearing a bra at 7, before I was 9 I was a B cup, so prepare yourself and dad for all sorts of early development. (If she develops early keep her far away from those boys, they're scary & the older ones will definitely notice her)

Make sure she's bathing properly every day or even twice a day.
Use talcum powder if you don't want to use deoderant.

1st consult the doctor and if inothing is wrong, you can use as deodorant the "Phillips Milk of Magnesia" the one without a flavor. It is very safe and it wont do any harm, and wont clog the pores, like deodorants do.
