Hello I Have two questions summed up in one.
A) Has anyone who has seen this music video heard any official news of what the song is ENTIRELY about (as in did the artists ever actually say what it meant) or did they leave it up to the listener to interpret?
B) If no one has an official report tell me what you think it means
I am torn between two possible storylines in my mind. I think the story is either
1) The girl's parents think she is pregnant this is why the dad throws the guy out. But part me of wants to say she isn't actually pregnant because the only clue is her being sick which is not exactly conclusive. Plus she does say "it's not true" in the beginning of the music video my question is what is not true perhaps is she saying "it's not true that I am pregnant and you threw him out and got him killed for nothing" or is it simply "it can't be true that he is dead" ?
2) She is actually pregnant and it is just a bit vague about it and her parents threw him out end of story.

That is a good point she may have thrown up after she found out that is the one that hadn't occured to me. I guess this is just one of those videos that it is up to the listener to interpret with no "official" story behind it.

So, i was randomly searching things on music video meanings when i found your question. Since i absolutely love the song, i downloaded the music video and proceeded to cry because the video is a little too familiar. Here is what it means:
The beginning when she says "It's not true...You did this to him" is about the fact that he left because of her father. It's apparent by that the father is fairly disgusted with this boy since even hough he's dead his face is still pretty cold. I think that they got into a fight and she is packing to run away with her boyfriend. She is definitely not pregnant though. Trust me, when you find out that the man you love is dead, getting sick is the least of it. T

It's about the pain and guilt of losing someone close to you that you love, and did nothing before their actions got them killed, and that everywhere you go see the friends and the places you've gone to reminds you that they're not coming back, and as the beginning where she is blaming her father, this is my interpretation of the music video. It's like poetry not everyone is going to have the same interpretation.

okay, so the girl at the beginning was saying "you did this to him" because, if you see at the end of the video, the boy gets into a car crash and he gets killed. He gets killed in the car crash because her father didn't like him and he was leaving. So that is why she is so upset. That is why at the end of the video she is running down the road to the grave of the boy.

the meaning of the video is that her dad throw the guy out because he didn't like him. she talking about him being dead. i think the only reason the girl threw up was because she was so inlove with him that his death made her sick.
