Skin colour prejudced is actully quite a recent thing in the long span of history invented by europeans after they found the Americas. After using white slaves who often died quick from disease and then working Native Americans slaves to the brink of extintion they chose Africans due to the fact that most of them had immunity to New world disease. The Greeks ,Kushites, Romans etc were not racist societys but they still had there problems. The sad fact is certain types of humans have a need to oppress others if its not skin colour it will be something else.

How true.
There is so many levels of racism that it will take a while to go away. If you think about it 45 years ago there were black and white bathrooms. There are still black and white churches here in Georgia and this blows me away because the Bible treats everyone evenly.. The ultimate hypocrisy. And I love Jesus too.
Racism sucks. Lets stop it together. I will start with myself and my children. Where are you gonna start?

GOD bless ya.

Problem is people do not realize how much alike they really are . And that their is more than black or white in this world , and has always been ! and that skin colour is a deciever.
But many people it seems are not contended till they fulfil their need to hate , perhaps because deep down inside their not really happy with thme themselves
Our eyes tell us that people look different. But how different are we beneath the skin? Geneticists, anthropologists, and biologists are unlocking human variation and the evolution of our species.

I think it's more complex than just ourselves because I believe there is an age where children naturally become predgidice against other people. Think about it, racism is found in every single culture around the world, it's natural. The only way to really fight it is to recognize that it's part of human nature and start with young children. Even if they don't see it in us, they will still become racist unless we actively teach them differently.

the rationalization...yet all over again...human beings in u.s. blended w/ black and white are referred to as black is via our slave background the place a mulatto does no longer be allowed in white society and greater desirable than likey became a SLAVE and dealt with by the black area and had NO touch with the white different than as a servant!!!! It became like that incredibly until the 70's. If a mulatto prefer to declare white purely go precise on forward. yet traditionally, its been much less annoying to stay black than white once you're gray. Whats wiht the yellow and blue. Yellow mean Asian precise? Blue is the Smurfs? Um, they are no longer human beings.

But we also have to learn to recognize that racism is about power, not just about skin color. People have to start learning and owning the racism inherent in many of our social institutions.

It's true what you are saying. But there is one more thing I would like to add. We can't blind ourselves from the color or culture of people. We have to be willing to accept eachothers social differences without drawing conclusions and labeling an entire color or social group. We are all people with unique personalities and talents. Jesus loves every one of us.

I agree with you, this is never going to happen because people are very ignorant and people are afraid of things that are not like them. What makes it even worse is when you see negative images on televsion about specifc races...

Well we humans can't live without hate... But Black vs. White racism is only kept alive by ignorance.

What is the question? What hou have posted is more a statement. I for one, never have a problem with people from other backgrounds to mine. Often people who migrate, come from a country with racial hatred and they bring that hatred with them. They often hate the citizens of the country they have moved to. It is those people who need to overcome their issues. Or go back to their place of origin.
