I'm going to make an actual attempt at being unbiased. I am not even going to tell you which side I support.

Helping the poor.
Republicans:
Republicans support the government enhancing the economy through supporting businesses so that more jobs can be created. Upside is that in the long run, it is a more permanent solution to the problem. Downside is that it takes a while to become fully effective.
Democrats:
Democrats support creating government programs to give money to the poor. Upside is that it helps people immediately, down side is that it keps them dependent on a system, and it just adds to the problem long term.

Abortion. (note, this is the largest issue that people vote on in American politics)
Republicans:
Most republicans take a pro-life stance, believing that every child has the right to be born, and every fetus is a living human being.
Democrats:
Most democrats are either indifferent or pro-choice, believing that the child does not have a right to life and the woman should have the option to choose whether the baby in their womb should be born.

War.
Republicans:
This is a tricky one, because Republicans have many different views on this issue. The current governmental opinion is that America, as a superpower of the world, must act to fill that role and take a leading position in world politics. Also, many take a very pro-active view, saying that the best way to protect people is to seek out and eliminate threats to the public. Republicans many times view America's responsibility as one to seek out other nations' problems and help end tyranny in other states (because we are a superpower and have the means to do so.)
Democrats:
Democrats tend to be more passive, believing that diplomacy is the best way to solve threats to America, using economy and trade to prevent problems with other nations. Democrats tend to be far more defensive and think that America should not get involved with the problems of other nations.

Overall, Republicans tend to be much more conservative minded in their thinking, using more traditional logic, where Democrats try to invent new ways to do things, using more experimental methods of thinking.

Nothing. A true democracy would not have only 2 parties and an electoral college who really decides. Republicans are more for themselves and Democrats are suppost to be more for the peoples welfare. In reality, there is no difference. Its all about the money.

This is easy......

Difference Between Republicans and Democrats

A Republican and a Democrat were walking down the street when they came to a homeless person. The Republican gave the homeless person his business card and told him to come to his business for a job. He then took twenty dollars out of his pocket and gave it to the homeless person.

The Democrat was very impressed, and when they came to another homeless person, he decided to help. He walked over to the homeless person and gave him directions to the welfare office. He then reached into the Republican's pocket and gave the homeless person fifty dollars.

Now you understand the difference between Republicans and Democrats

Here are some of the main differences between the parties, as unbiased as I can be

Republicans - considered more conservative, usually the party to lower taxes as they believe in smaller government with more control given to the states, they usually are seen as supporting business and capitalism, they oppose universal health-care, they usually support the military (as they put more money into the military). With concern to social issues they usually support school choice and charter schools, are anti-abortion, less gun control, and want to derfine marriage as beingbetween a man and woman only.

Democrats - are considered more liberal or progressive, more government control (bigger) with less control going to state governments, universal or government run health care, historically cut money to the military, and they usually raise taxes. In concern for social issues they tend to support abortion, more gun control, same-sex marriage, the right to privacy act, Affirmative Action, and strong environmental protection programs and laws.

Democrats get their votes in the north from the Yankees. Republicians get their votes from the south(Confederates). The Republicians love weapons and wars while the democrats are softer and kinder.

In general, Democrats believe in more civil liberties, more enviromentalism, and more restrictions on big business.
In general, Republicans believe in less civil rights, less enviromentalism, less restrictions on big business. Recently, this party has been heavily influenced by evangelical Christians who want to put more influence on the government in keeping with their religious beliefs (anti-homosexual, prayer in school, anti-abortion, etc.).

The Democrats are in favor of welfarism, social-democracy, socialism, communism.

Many Republicans suck because they allow open borders with Mexico. Many others don't because they're in favor of protecting borders, combating terror, and supply-side economics.

That's the synopsis.

One has a group of level headed people who think things through and act with reason. Then you have the democrats who react instantly without considering anything other than their gut reaction.
