I have been trying to burn a movie from my hard drive, but when I put in the blank DVD-R disk, it pops back out and the comp says "Please enter a appendable data disk and try again"? What does that mean. HELP!!!

That is a disk that has data on it already but it is not closed so you can append (add) more data on it.

It sounds like maybe you are trying to use a - (minus) and maybe your drive only burns + (plus) DVDs ?

Have you ever burned to this type of DVD before?
Make sure you have the correct format DVD. There are two kinds..... plus and minus. newer burners will take either.

to append means to add to existing data, if your DVD-R is not RW not rewritable that means the disk is closed and you can not add to it, try to use different cd

A disk you can write to more than once, add stuff on to. A DVD-R is only writable. You need a DVD-RW, which is re-writable.

ok, i dnt really know what your on about, but use nero, its the most easiest program to burn and rip files from disks, its straight to the point, none of that crap. and if you are using nero, then you have already got sumit on the disk, maybe.

Perhaps, but I'm not 100% on it

IT MEANS THAT THE CD OR DVD YOU INSERTED WAS EITHER FULL OR DIDN'T HAVE ENOUGH SPACE TO CONTINUE IN THE COPYING OF THE WHOLE DVD, OR IT COULD BE THAT THE DVD IS COPY PROTECTED AND THE DVD IS TELLING YOUR DVD BURNING PROGRAM IT CANNOT BURN IT.
