Wonder what the reference is for that.

My 3-year old daugter underwent chemotherapy for leukemia a while back. Fortunately, she's in remission now. The two lead doctors, Dr.Abromowich and Dr.Gnarra, did a great job. But I noticed they often looked very worn and tired, tired beyond their years. I wondered on this and figured they get to help kids, sure, but they also see many suffer and die despite their best efforts. Also the long hours, always on call. They're heroes alright and they do a very tough job, one I don't think I could do. Profoundly emotionally draining.
