2nd. if a male friend gave u a pair would u show him what they look like w/u ware-ing them[& the garter of course or else the stockings would not stay up rite ladies]. 3. where would this male friend have gotten these 100% silk stockings. because u will want to know when u try them on for the very first time. because u will want to buy some for ur self[what do u think they cost u wonder].

Well, being a guy, no, I've never owned any silk stockings for myself, however I DID get some for a ladyfriend of mine. In addition, on Ebay, I even found some of the original rayon stockings! I dated and later lived with a lady for a while who wore a garter belt and regular nylon stockings all day every day to work. It was mostly a comfort thing for her more than anything else as she could not find pantyhose which did not become uncomfortable rather quickly. Over time, I learned a bit here and there, like her belt was 4 or 5 inches wide for a reason, comfort. Unlike the frilly lacy things from Victorias Secret and Fredericks of Hollywood, a wide belt is comfortable all day. The frilly lacy things are OK for the short trip to the bedroom, and guys like that. Get an adjustable garter belt, so it will fit your natural waist properly. An elastic belt may not sit in the right place on your body to be comfortable. You will be unpleasantly(!) surprised at the prices. Even regular nylons are more expensive and much more fragile than pantyhose. My ladyfriend bought in quantity and some places will give a discount for quantity. When you try them on for the first time, or even handle them, wear a pair of thin cloth gloves which are smooth to prevent snags. They even sell stocking gloves, made of nylon, for just this purpose, preventing snags. My lady friend had several pairs of stocking gloves and used them all the time. Real stockings do not stretch and easily are snagged and get runs. Nonetheless, even though much more time and effort was involved, my ladyfriend liked the way they felt and the way she felt when dressed, smooth, sexy, more feminine. Oh, yes, a slip under your dress or skirt or fully lined clothing is a must to prevent snags from the inside seams in your clothing. A word about garters is in order. Her belts all had 6 straps with metal clasps since real stockings do not stretch and need side support as well as front and back, and should be wide so they don't cut into your backside when you sit. Metal clasps will not break, which can be a problem with plastic clasps. Also, six garters will help to keep the seams straight if you decide to wear these out in public. I don't think any 100% silk stockings come as seamless, but maybe they do. Adjust the straps to be snug when you are standing while wearing your shoes with the belt at your natural waistline. My ladyfriend adjusted her straps to be a little tighter in front to take up the slack when sitting, a little less tight in back to allow enough stretch when sitting, which is why the side clasp really helps things. Too tight and your toes will curl... not really. Seriously, the belt will creep down and become uncomfortable from the back straps cutting in when you sit and the stockings will sag when you standup again, which is unsightly. On snags, which you WILL get sooner or later, get some clear nail polish. A very small drop will keep the snag from becoming a run. And a last thought, your underwear goes outside the garters. Think about the logistics of the bathroom... I can tell you one thing from the guy side who appreciates these things, when we went out to dinner or a movie and I put my hand on her thigh and felt the garter, it was a thrill for me, and it was a thrill for her knowing it was a thrill for me. It was very interesting for me to watch her dress in the morning and undress in the evening. If your guy bought these for you, then he will appreciate it, maybe more than you will ever know. If your relationship with your friend is not one for the bedroom, then maybe he will be the kind who gets a thrill just from KNOWING a lady is wearing them, like I am.

Yes I have a couple of pair, along with about a dozen garter belts.
The best place to get any stockings is www.stockingstore.com. They have the most I have ever seen, and I get all my hosiery and garter belts there. I am married, but I would expect that any woman would at least show you the garter straps and stocking top after spending $100.00. I have seen 15 year old's going to prom, showing off their stockings to their brother's friends.
To me its a lot better than some of the disgusting see through tops and micro mini skirts and shorts a lot of girls wear today. I don't see anything wrong with showing a little stocking top.

I love to have a woman wearing garter belt and nlyon stockings! I think that it makes the women look more feminine, sensual, intriguing, prestigious, noticeable, and finer things in life. I would buy them for her because she loves the look and feel of them and not only that but when we go out for the evening and dancing I would be the only one that knows what she is wearing under her dress! She can tease me just showing enough of the leg which drives me crazy! I don't know if she likes the full fashion, RHT, or sheer but that's up to the woman!

1. Yes. I have (and do) own 100% silk stockings and garter belts.
2. If they came from a male FRIEND, he would not see them. If they came from a romantic relationship, then yes he would get to see them.
3. You can buy them at most upscale lingerie stores, or stores that sell nice lingerie. They run anywhere from $30 to $50 per pair depending on brand and style.
If you can't find them in a local store, try on line hosiery stores.
