As soon as you can give a clear definition of reality then this question can be discussed. Do we really see reality or only the reflection of reality? If it is a reflection, is it distorted? If it is distorted, is it our conception that makes it so or is it the invisible forces that shape our lives that distorts it? Time. What a mystery!

If you broaden the definition of the word "distort," the answer would be yes.
It would be yes in the sense that when people cut up lumber from trees, that's "distorting" the shape of the tree. If the Tree is Reality and Time is the cutting process, the end result would be the piece of wood symbolizing the finished outcome.
For example when it comes to Geological Time, there are many things that happen over long periods of time that aren't seen by humans because they never live long enough.
The human perception of reality usually doesn't translate over well to things that take eons to produce.
For example, measuring how long it takes you to get from your home to your workplace in seconds would be like a humans trying to understand the Geology of the Earth using short increments.
If you tried to measure how many minutes you it takes to microwave popcorn in years, that would be a distorted view of popping corn using a model that technically fits, but there is a better measurement of time that would be better.

No, because time is relevant to the material reality and it's a perfect fit for the job it was intended to do. But we also have to realize that the temporary material world is not the only reality and time has no relevance in the transcendental sphere. As long we keep it straight that time is useful in the material world and that time has no jurisdiction in spiritual matters, then we won't be bewildered or have a distorted view of reality.

Reality could not exist without time, and time could not exist without reality. Or ask yourself this, "Is the conception of reality a distorted reflection of time?" We can bend reality, but not time. Reality and Time coexist as two essential components that allow us to live and to exist. I do not fully understand the concept myself (actually, that would be an understatement...)

The conception is not a reflection..
The conception is a definition..
Most definitely distorted, since reality seems to vary based on perspective..

The concept of time differs by many factors, including personal reality. For example, when you are in love, time slows when you look into your lover's eyes. I've spent much time trying to decifer the difference between reality and illusion, and the answer is that it's just what you do vs. what you don't do. The only difference is will-power. Of course, it is also destiny (when it comes to others' decisions).
So no, it's not. Unless you're looking at it differently. But "No," is the reality that I'm living with.

All conception is a distortion of reality. Concepts are intellectual models of reality. Time is a concept, and does not exist. Reality is only experienced directly when the mind is free of concepts.

We perceive change. This perception leads us to duration as a measurement of where we are. This is our reality, not the reality of the bee, mayfly or the super nova. If there was a way for us to 'see' reality we could talk about distortion, but there is not.

No, time is just the events between events. It's observation which is a distorted view of reality. To see is to do violence...it's truth both philosophically and in physics (quantum).
