my husband are ttc...when is the right time to take your temp with a basal thermometer..should i start before i get my period..and then do it everyday from here on out...kinda confused...??

I did this for about 6 months, first to prevent pregnancy (it worked) and then to get pregnant (also worked). You'll need a few months to get a good feel for your cycle and how regular it is.
A great book is Taking Charge of Your Fertility, by Toni Weschler. It's how I learned the method.

start from the day you get your period and put it by your bed side as you want your temp to be the same and thats the best time, do it for a couple of month so you get an idea of you temp , just remember if you are sick temp wont be usal

I took my temp every day for 6 years.
best time is when you wake up in the morning before you get out of bed.

You can start After you Stop bleeding at the same time every morning before you get out of bed.
