I am American, but have lived in tghe UK, Autsralia and Canada- i found the Brits, the Canucks and Aussies to be great people, and they tend to like americans- but they see Bush as a complete moron, and the war in Iraq as un unending disaster- For any Brits, Aussies or Canadians here- please offer the perspective of an outsider, albiet allied outsiders, on how you see the war and GW Bush? Is Bush doing great? Is the war on terror killing all those evil terrorists? Is America coming accross as the world's 'beacon of freedom'?

the war is a sick farce, and Bush the jester.

Interesting, in these responses, to see how openly contemptuous americans are of others. They're so eager to display their worst side for all to see, and apparently proud of it.

And it always amuses me when they say we only exist becasue they allow it - completely forgetting that they invaded us once before, trying to take us over, and we whupped their asses and burned the White House!

hehehehehehehehehehehehehe

George Bush is the biggest gag God has ever played on the human race. It's just sad that American voters were stupid enough to elect a guy who makes village idiots seem like Rhodes scholars. This, they did not once, but twice.

For almost 10 years now, I've been of the opinion that America The Great (Whore) is on an irreversible slide--to hell in a hand basket, as it were. 9-11 hastened her descent. Between losing the trust of the world, resting on her laurels and refusing to see and or acknowledge the folly of her ways, we are witnessing the imminent fall of a superpower.

There isn't a shred of hate in my message. As a matter of fact, Americans interpreting statements such as these to be hateful is indeed part of the problem. The world has been telling you that many of the acts and policies that you as a country have perpetrated and enacted were wrong, evil, counterproductive and illegal. Still, you go on unabated. Still, you insist that it is the rest of the world that is wrong and that you will bloody-well do what you want. I'm sure you will. And I'm just as sure that you will also cause your own destruction.

I am a European born US citizen with many relatives in the UK. Frankly I do not care what they think . And in the past, way, way before George Bush, I heard a lot of hateful speech against the Americans. This one guy looked like he was going to start foaming at the moth. Not only was this before I became a citizen, it was before I had ever set foot in the US. The speech was so hateful I knew that I couldn't take anything that guy said seriously. I was right, I am here now. Americans are A Okay! It's the Europeans that are lacking.

I'm a Brit, and sadly, our government joined the war on terror. Which was just a big PR thing in my opinion, it was actually a war with Iraq, but it's much harder to speak out against a war on terror, than against a war on Iraq. Not a fan of George Bush myself, thank god he is unable to have another term in office.
Not a great fan of the American people either, far too conservative. People quote the statistic that less than 10% of Americans have passports like its a bad thing.

Are you with the CIA? Do you work for some propaganda organisation? Is this a ''Think Tank'' project to trawl the minds of the young and reap answers to questions that are so banal, so mind-numbingly ridiculous as to be some kind of an attempt to rewrite the basic beliefs of the average human being? Are you crazy? Bush? I wouldn't p=ss on him if he was on fire. Sincerely, a Brit.

All I can say is that the Americans are STILL killing our soldiers in Afghanistan. THANKS George W.. And why don't you just hold still for a minute for a little "friendly fire" yourself? The Americans need the Canadians a lot more than they will ever be ready to admit. It's time they stopped treating us as a third world country.

When is someone going to speak truthfully about the crisis of confidence that the "war on terror" has created in your country, everyday I read with growing amusement the rantings and ravings of both sides both republican and democrat (I refuse to call them either Neocon or Liberal) as both references degrade the individual,, your constant sniping and carping about "whose fault it is" achieves only a negative outcome for all And don't give me this bu llshit about that what makes us great, the freedom to express our differences" because at the moment your divide is growing exponentially and unless you elect someone to speak for everyone all will be for nought. Your enemy will become yourselves and to that end your perceived enemy will have achieved his objective "Divide and conquer"
Perhaps with the 5th anniversary of 911 you may again regain a sense of unity and purpose, for all of your sakes I hope so.
