I myself think that it is so bad.I feel so sorry for Terri(his wife) and his two kids.He was well loved. He always seemed to be nice and kind.He will be missed. I would just like to tell his family I am so sorry for there loss.

Yeah, it definitely sucks, he had some great shows that were funny and I'm sure made animals interesting to kids.

I was absolutely shocked -what a freak accident! He was so full of life, and seemingly invincible. However, I consider it some type of irony, because in all probability he should have been crunched by a crocodile years ago.....yet he is killed by something which rarely causes death...Soemhow, though, I think this is how he would have wanted to go.....killed by an animal while doing what he loved. He will be missed.

I am just glad it didn't happen too his infant son when he was parading him around in front of a wild alligator while feeding the alligator ; sorry just my opinion, don't take me the wrong way I am also sorry for his family for their loss of a husband and father but you can only push the envelop so far before something really bad happens -----------play with fire and you will get burned

im was so sad even though i knew something like this would happen someday with all the risks he took,i feel soory for the wife and kids,and steve was loved by young and old, i just cant believe he died of a stingray, its so rare for something like that to happen

I feel awful! It has really bothered me too... I feel so bad for Terri & the kids too... To see a man with such a rare gift of such an outstanding personality, especially with his family, it's just awful to see that happen...I give to them all my prayers to get through this horrible time....
