depending on the brand, 28-32 psi, oh!! and btw, my g/f didn't give me her cherry, but she did give me the box it came in!!! LOL

Did you look at the sidewall of the tire for the correct inflation pressure? The majority of car tires are to be at a maximum pressure of 30 to 32 pounds when cold. In other words, hasn't been driven. Truck tires are anywhere from 32 to 75 pounds pressure. Depending on the truck of course.

how old were those tires? EIther you were sitting there forever airing them up or the tires were bad and couldn't hold much air. I would double check the other tires for damage. Dry rot, bald, side wall damage are some of the things you should be looking for. Oh and make sure you check both sides of the tire.
But yeah everybody is right. Most car tires are around 30psi.

doesnt matter now the tire has a hole in it!! it should say the psi on the sidewall.
